Heros of the British Art Resistance
Relaxing after a hard day's hate

The 13th of July is the start of National Art Hate Week, a campaign of hatred organised - or non organised as they claim - by the Heroes of the British Art Resistance. Their goal is to expose the sham that art is, and at the same time to make a tidy profit by flogging their over-priced poster propaganda. We consider this to be a worthy enterprise and will copy their business model in due course. But who are the heroes of the British Art Resistance, and are they so squeaky clean as their self-proclaimed heroism suggests?
To answer these question we need to delve deeper into what the British Art Resistance actually is.
Its website states the following ...
"The BRITISH ART RESISTANCE is a non-organisation, and this website has been developed to support the Resistance through the promotion of thought, deed and commerce".
This - is a worthy proclamation, and on first sight it seems all well and good.

But we think it reads differently. We think it reads: "through the promotion of thought, deed and commerce by L-13 artists". Because all the other heroes who take part are required only to wear armbands and handout leaflets. That is how the non-organisation has organised things. A team of minions doing the footwork, whilst L-13 and Billy Childish flog their over priced posters.
We like their thinking.
So we too have produced a set of Posters to commemorate National Art Hate week, and claim the authority of the mysterious non-organisation to sanction us. We claim this by our thorts, deeds and commerce.
